Note from the national chair

Writing on the cusp of the twenty-fifth anniversary year of Project Interchange, and the fifteenth year as an institute of the American Jewish Committee, I am inspired to reflect on the work of Project Interchange since Debbie Berger founded this organization in 1982.
Not only has Project Interchange expanded from targeting only U.S. Members of Congress to focusing on leaders from across a wide array of professions and leadership groups, but in the last few years, Project Interchange has also begun to include participants from around the world. It is with the four-thousand plus United States alumni and over 350 international alumni in mind that we are devising new ways to impact, educate, and engage current and emerging leaders from around the world. The foresight of Project Interchange can be found in the results of the November 2006 U.S. mid-term elections; seven alumni were elected to new positions in state and national government. We are constantly improving our seminars, tailoring them to the interests of specific seminar participants and expanding our reach.
We hope that you take advantage of the information offered on this website and expand your knowledge of Project Interchange and Israel.
