Brigadier General Yehiel Gozal
Brig. Gen. (Res.) Gozal was born in Israel and served in the IDF for 27 years. During his distinguished military career, he took various commanding roles, among them Commander of the Paratroopers battalion and Head of the Armor Brigade. Brig. Gen. Gozal fought in Judea & Samaria as well as in southern Lebanon, where he was wounded twice during the "Peace of the Galilee" war in 1982. Despite his injuries, he continued to fight and was honored with a citation for his bravery under fire. Brig. Gen. Gozal continued to rise through the IDF ranks until his last appointment as the Chief of Staff of the Southern Command. Following this appointment, he served as the Israeli Defense Attache in Paris.
